Congratulations to Ed and Laura Friesen and daughter Maegan from Canada! They purchased this full Brother to CCF Painted Victory last fall and picked him up after the US Nationals show. Bred by Dawn and Jeff Labertew of Indianola, IA. Pictured being shown winning Reserve Champion Hunter Pleasure with Maegan (the ONLY trainer of this horse) -- they are now on their way to the US Nationals 2008.

OO Ive Been Spotted is the most winning son of SS Painted Intimidator to date and he was lost in 2008 due to complications to Colic Surgery He was an outstanding show horse with a National Championship in Halter and also wins Under saddle. He was from the very first foal crop ----born in June 2001----- he will be greatly miss by all of us and especially his owner Maryla Miller-Feldheim and Her husband Zak. Maryla purchased this wonderful gelding from me when he was a yearling in 2002--------- he was a great show horse!!!!!!!!!!!!! Breeder was Rodney Zimmerman in Minnesota.

NEWS!!!!!!!

SS Painted Intimidator's first grandget from a full Homozygous Saddlebred mare arrived at 1 AM 3-6-08. He is out of maiden mare Brios Painted Dreams (SS Painted Imtimidator dtr) and by Autumn Storm V (Sylvia Beahr's Arabian). The colt was strong and active at birth --he is tall --very tall for a maiden mare-- I have never seen one this tall out of a maiden mare. He is 50/50 dark bay Tobiano color with a dark head and a perfect narrow strip , dark down his neck for a short way and dark chest and then white belt over back and in front of hips a dark hind end with a coal black tail. This Grand-Kid looks to be outstanding -- will get photos soon. Susan

ZA Inrimidating Spotz (SS painted Intimidator x Boardwalks Karess) is the 2007 Minnesota High Point 2 and Under Halter gelding ** Saddle/Pleasure type. Proud Owner is : Tonya Grefe, Truman, MN.

This horse was also the Reserve Champion in the Ia Gold Star 2 yr Old Saddle/Pleasure Gelding halter 2007 behind a 1/2-Brother Gold A Latten.

SS Painted Intimidator gets a Top-10 in HA/AA Western Pleasure open at 2007 US Nationals

This call went yesterday -- Saturday and the competition was top orf the line so we were so pleased it is ZA Always A Lady ( SS Painted Intimidator x Ritz Romance SF) Troy Peterson rode her to the Top-10 -- She also was 2007 Top- 10 at Canada -- and she won the Open at Scottsdale so she had a wonderful year -- I am so happy for owner Rose and Troy and My Stallion "Ernie". I did go out and give Ernie a big hug!!!!

SS I'm Too Kool (aka, Mr. Kool) is coming along great in his under saddle training. This summer I was able to ride Mr. Kool, now 4 yrs. old, with all my campers. I got to play relay races, tag games, and trotting races with my big boy! We even tamed things down a bit and participated in a dressage

We just had "the last of the season" mares UltraSounded and 100% checked in foal-- we had a huge success year and 100% of our AI bred mares also have settled. We have a mare settled to *Dakar El Jamaal and it was via shipped semen to our farm and an on farm AI breeding to a Magnum Psyche daughter owned by Mark Timson ** Tulsa, OK. We also settled another mare on farm to FS Ritz via AI shipped semen. The rest were both AI and Live cover to on farm stallion SS painted Intimidator. Both the Farm and the customers are happy to have mares all settle in foal for 2008 foals.

SS Painted Intimidator gets a Top-10 in HA/AA Western Pleasure open at 2007 US Nationals

Congratulations AGAIN to Color Me Roses on her Region 15 TOP FIVE Win-- also ridden by Tommy Garland--she was the youngest in her class **being only age 3 in 2007.

Color Me Roses {SS Painted Intimidator x Ritz Romance SF} went to her First Class A show under saddle with Tom Garland in Virginia-- she had only been under Hunt saddle for 2 weeks and only under saddle since Jan 2007 -- She won her class of 15 and Tom says she is a great horse-- Next stop -- Region 15! Owned by Michele LePage of Florida.

Dawn Labertew of Indianola, IA continues to have great luck with her 4 year old gelding -- CCF Painted Victory {SS Painted Intimidator x Kassika (High Hopes)}. She has been home just growing up in 2006 but in November she has gone to Thomas Garland to start her under saddle training *** Look for her in 2007 showing in performance. 2006 US NATIONAL UPDATE ...

ZA Royal Ritz (SS painted Intimidator x Ritz Romance SF) is a 3 yr old gelding bred by Rod Zimmerman and shown by Bill Porcher to 2006 US National Top-10. He was also top-10 in Scottsdale with me in AAOTH when he was a yearling -- He also was a Winner of Iowa Gold Star Futurity as a yearling. He just started training in 2006 by Troy Peterson but Troy was committed on another horse so Bill took him to his Top-10 withover 60+ total entries in the class. He went 6th, 6th, & 8th on the judges cards. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL!!

CONGRATULATIONS to OO Ive Been Spotted who went Top-10 at 2006 US Nationals with Bob Boggs on the lead. (In Stock/Hunter HA/AA Halter). The competition was tough with many Nationals winners in the class. So OO gets another big title!

Yearling first time out at 2006 Region 10 -- ZA Bar None ( SS Painted Intimidator x ZA Echo Flame) Reserve Champion in yr Sweeps 1/2-Arabian -- Owner -Breeder Rod Zimmerman and handler John D. This horse had only 30+ days of training for this win-- he is a beautiful colt.

2006 IaAHA Memorial Day Show

At the 2006 Memorial Day Show in Des Moines, Iowa in the Junior Half Arabian class, two Pintos by SS Painted Intimidator show under saddle for their first time. ZA Royal Ritz w/Troy Petersen (From Texas) on the left and CCF Painted Victory w/ Leon Matthias (Owners Dawn & Jeff Labertew) on the right. Horses were both in their very first show under saddle and placed 3rd and 4th--not bad for their first time out!! **Both horses are halter Champions as well!!

Good News!!!!!

OO Ive Been Spotted when to his first show under Western Saddle in MN this weekend (5/20/06) -- he was 4th in his Jr class at first show Sauck Center and then on the next day he was in an all ages Championship and he won -- not bad for the first show ever and I am so excited to have Ernie kids starting to win with saddles on their backs!!!!

2005 Regional news: O O Ive Been Spotted (SS Painted Intimidator x ZA Echo Flame) took Reserve Champion at Region 11 in HA/AA Gelding In-Hand Stock/Hunt Type. He also went Top Three in HA/AA Gelding In-Hand Stock/Hunt Type open and took a Reserve Championship in the Amateur Owner HA/AA Gelding In-Hand Stock/Hunt Type class.

A new one on the scene, Color Me Roses (SS Painted Intimidator x Ritz Romance SF) received her first Regional title with a Top Five at Region 10 in HA/AA Yearling Filly Sweepstakes.

With the birth of the first Sport Horse Pinto by SS Painted Intimidator in May 2005 from a Registered Clydesdale mare, the interest has gone up and this season we bred more Clydesdale mares and some Percheron Draft mares for 2006 foals. See the photo of the Clyde/Cross Sport Horse [HERE].

2005 took off with tremendous success with the Unanimous Scottsdale Win by O O Ive Been Spotted. He became the Open Gelding Stock/Hunter Champion at age 4 yrs, and to get this unanimous Championship he beat out 4 National winning geldings. This was a huge win for this great show horse. 2004 Winners

Region 14 2004 (Lexington, Ky) was another great show for the SS Painted Intimidator get: O O Ive Been Spotted did it again, he went Unanimous Champion with owner Maryla in HA/AA Stock Hunter. Another big win for Him. ZA Royal Ritz gets Top Five Yearling Sweepstakes Colt/Geldings (3rd on the cards).

Ohio Buckeye 2004 Turns out to be a great show for the get of SS Painted Intimidator. The yearling ZA Royal Ritz is 3rd in the Open HA/AA Stock Hunter type Halter with Trainer Bob Boggs. The older (3 yr Old) O O Ived Been Spotted makes a clean Sweep winning the Open with Bob Boggs and also winning the Open Championship HA/AA Stock/Hunter Halter, then he goes on to win AAOTH HA/AA Stock/Hunter Halter with his owner Maryla Miller-Feldheim. In the Championship the Stock/Hunter types show against the Saddle/Pleasure types and O O Ive Been Spotted wins big over already multi- National winning Saddle/Pleasure type geldings.

Scottsdale 2004 was a wonderful show for the 3 get of SS Painted Intimidator.
O O Ive Been Spotted (3 yr gelding) winner in JTH Halter with Austin Boggs, he also goes Reserve Champion JTH with Austin Boggs. Second in the Open Saddle/Pleasure type with Bob Boggs, Top Ten AAOTH with Owner Maryla Miller-Feldheim.
Fames Intimidator (3 yr gelding) Unanimous in 3 Year Old Stock/Hunter type Open, Top Ten in AAOTH with owner Linda Neiman, Reserve Champion Stock/Hunter type in Championship.
ZA Royal Ritz (1 yr colt) Top Ten in Stock/Hunter type yearling colts, Top Ten AAOTH with owner Susan Skow. This colt looked great and did great his first time to show and he had a very short training period with Bob Boggs. This is a great looking colt with a very good mind and he loves to show.

2003 Winners

History was Set at the 2003 Iowa Gold Star Futurity. The Iowa Gold Star Program had a big Boost in the Auction Sale of 2003 -- it was opened up for more stallions and Stallions from all over the USA Entered this program. One thing this program offers for futurity entries is a division for the Half-Arabian which is not offered in other Futurity programs. It has been a wonderful promotional tool for this farms Homozygous Saddlebred Stallion SS Painted Intimidator. He has been in this program since his first breeding year.

At this year's Gold Star Classes, nine Half-Arabian Pinto get of SS Painted Intimidator showed up for the classes, and not a one left without a ribbon. Most won the class and many were second to the winning get of their sire. The classes won & placed by these pinto offspring are as follows:

In the evening after all these classes the Stallion Futurity Auction was held with over 90 breedings to sell. SS Painted Intimidator was #89 to sell and made history in the Iowa Gold Star selling for a partbred breeding @ $4,100.00. Sold to the Minnesota Breeder of the 2002 National Champion Jr. Stallion Legacy of Fame.
